New Trends in Sino-Japanese Economic Interdependence under RCEP

Despite the constant political friction between China and Japan, economic trade exchanges have been closely linked, degree of interdependence has continued to deepen. With optimization China's industrial structure enhancement strength, asymmetric Sino-Japanese is changing in a direction favorable China, gradually reducing its dependence on Japan's economy. The signing RCEP marks FTA relationship Japan for first time. A wide range tax reduction commitments arranged, mid-to-high-end intra-industry cooperation represented by mechanical electrical products strengthened. further facilitating upgrading export structure, thereby improving interdependence. However, due vigilance against rise deterioration Sino-US relations, relations still face more significant uncertainty. Under framework, opportunities challenges coexist relations. two countries should actively leverage advantages achieve mutual benefit then promote trust through cooperation.
